In celebration of ten successful years of immersive Jewish learning and community building, Mechon Hadar hosted a Siyyum Celebration on March 2, 2017 in honor of outgoing Board President Jonathan Lopatin. Held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York, the Siyyum also marked the completion of Hadar’s six-month learning project, which involved more than a thousand participants from around the world.
Completely sold out, Hadar’s first National Shabbaton featured three days of study, prayer, and community building from March 3-5, 2017, with approximately 600 people of varied backgrounds from 23 states and 90 cities. In addition to a concert by acclaimed musician Joey Weisenberg, more than thirty intellectually and spiritually engaging lectures culminated in a Yom Iyyun on the topic of What Judaism Could Be.
