Overview

Gather in song and celebration with Joey Weisenberg and the Hadar Ensemble! Get your tickets and come together in community at B’nai Jeshurun, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, or watch the concert  from home online.

The annual concert will showcase the Ensemble’s signature fusion of traditional Jewish sounds and eclectic influences, and together we’ll create a space of joy, meditation, and communal connection.

Join the community on December 21 to raise  your voice and participate in the transformative power of communal song!

This year’s concert coincides with the eve of the Tenth of Tevet, a day on the Jewish calendar that commemorates events leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem. In response to the fracture and brokenness the day recalls, it is traditionally a time to bring the community together in prayer, acts of hesed and a fast that begins at dawn. Different minhagim exist around how to approach the practices of the day. This year we have the special opportunity to usher in the eve of the Tenth of Tevet by joining in prayerful song in our annual concert, a meaningful form of tefillah b’tzibbur that brings Jews together from many corners of the community. Our kavannah this year is the hope that this experience of communal song will be an inspiration to draw closer to God and each other as we work toward a more redeemed world.
