What is the topic?

Who gave you your name and why? Do other people call you by different names? And does the name we call something even matter? In this session, we will dive into the meaning of names and name changes in our lives and in Jewish tradition.

Who is this for?

Learning With Grandparents offers engaging, accessible, and fun learning for grandparents and grandchildren ages 7+ -- other special adults are welcome too!

How does it work?

Join us on Zoom for an introduction to the learning with a Hadar faculty member. Each family then goes into their own Zoom breakout room for your learning together based on the study guide provided. No advance preparation is needed; we provide all the texts and guiding questions! At the end, we reconvene with the larger group to share highlights from our learning.

Sign up below to learn with your family members. In the days leading up to the event, you will receive an email with the Zoom link, your breakout room number and the source sheets.

I have more questions. Who should I contact?

Please reach out to Mara Braunfeld, Director of Children and Families, at [email protected] with any questions.
