Moshe reached the greatest heights of any human, going to heaven to receive the Torah, on our behalf. Why did he have to die before entering the Promised Land? How did he struggle with this decree? We will explore a midrashic vision of Moshe’s struggle with his own death in order to glean insight about our own relationship to mortality, succession, and legacy.
