Through a close reading of rabbinic sources that struggle with the Torah's criteria of coercion, alongside a close reading of contemporary Israeli poet Shulamit haLevy, we will explore methods of Talmud Torah when our sacred texts, and the realities they speak to, are particularly challenging.
