Resurrection of the dead is a central tenet of Christianity, while among modern Jews, the idea is relatively neglected. As a result, many people today assume that this is a Christian belief. The truth is almost the reverse. Resurrection of the dead is one of the central teachings of Rabbinic Judaism, even to the point of putting the idea in the Amidah. Why is that?
