Righteous Anger, Useful Anger

Can anger be righteous? What would make it so? A sugya from Massekhet Shabbat about destroying clothing in a fit of rage, when read in conversation with recent feminist reassessments of anger, may shed some light. In conversation with the work of philosopher Amia Srinivasan, R. Micha'el looks both for points of agreement as well as for how Rabbinic thought can push contemporary thinking and vice versa. Recorded at the Rabbinic Yeshiva Intensive, 2023.
