What Religion Could Be

For the past decade, Mechon Hadar has been a center of Torah learning, a mekom Torah. We have been and continue to be committed to living bolder, more ambitious, and more meaningful Jewish lives through serious study, service, and prayer. As we celebrated our first 10 years, we could think of no better way to recognize this milestone with our community than through a Jewish learning celebration, honoring our outgoing board president Jonathan Lopatin who has been with Mechon Hadar since our creation. At the event we held a siyyum, a traditional celebration after learning a significant portion of Torah. This event included a reception, reflections on our vision, and the following keynote address by Rabbi Shai Held.
